Frequently Asked Questions

The questions B2B buyers ask before their first order — MOQs, sampling, inspection, payment safety, shipping and warranty. Answers apply to both apparel manufacturing and electronics sourcing unless stated otherwise.

Short answers first, specifics one link away: quantities and fees live on the MOQ & payment page, the engagement process on the services page, and worked programs on the case studies page.

1. What is the minimum order quantity for custom apparel?

For OEM production from your tech pack, our apparel factories typically start at 100 pieces per style and color. Select knit factories accept 50-piece pilots, and ODM programs based on existing factory blocks can start at 50-100 pieces. The binding MOQ depends on fabric minimums and the size run you need — full details are on our MOQ policy page.

2. How long does production take after the sample is approved?

Most apparel programs run 15-30 days from approved counter-sample to ex-factory, depending on fabric availability, finishing (wash, print, embroidery) and order size. Electronics wholesale ships in 2-7 days from counter stock; small-batch PCBA runs take 10-15 days including component sourcing.

3. How much does sampling cost, and is it refundable?

Apparel sampling is typically USD 30-80 per style depending on construction; electronics samples are quoted at counter cost. Sampling fees and one revision round are included in that price for apparel. Fees are not refunded, but they are credited against the bulk order for programs above 500 pieces — the exact term is stated on your sample invoice.

4. How do you inspect goods before shipping?

Apparel is inspected to an AQL 2.5 / 4.0 standard with inline checks during production and a final random inspection on packed cartons, including measurements, workmanship and drop tests. Electronics add functional and aging tests plus serial-number verification. You receive a photo-documented report, and nothing ships before your written approval.

5. How can I verify a factory is real before paying a deposit?

We handle this as part of the engagement: business license and export-record verification, an on-site audit of the production line, and reference checks. If you are sourcing independently, ask for the factory's social credit code, verify it on the national enterprise registry, and never pay a deposit to a personal bank account. More on the audit scope is described on our services page.

6. What payment methods do you accept?

Bank telegraphic transfer (T/T) for bulk balances, Alipay or WeChat Pay for sample fees, Alibaba Trade Assurance for escrow-protected orders, and letters of credit at sight for programs above USD 50,000. Standard schedule is 30% deposit / 70% balance against shipping documents or the final inspection report. The full breakdown is on the MOQ & payment page.

7. Can I buy in bulk from Huaqiangbei without travelling to Shenzhen?

Yes. We quote from multiple counters, run aging and functional tests on random samples, consolidate goods in our warehouse and send photo/video documentation of the packing. If you do visit, we run guided sourcing trips with a translator and handle the negotiation table for you.

8. How do you handle defective electronics?

Every electronics quotation states a warranty rate — the percentage of units we will replace or credit free of charge (typically matching the agreed defect allowance, e.g. 0.5-1%). Defective units are swapped on your next order or credited at invoice value. Claims need photo or video evidence within 15 days of arrival.

9. Which shipping terms do you support?

FOB, CIF and DDP from Shenzhen and Guangzhou by sea, air, rail and express courier. We prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and any CE/FCC or textile compliance paperwork, then hand you one tracking point from deposit to delivery.

10. Do you sign NDAs and protect my designs?

Yes — NDAs are signed before you send a tech pack, and OEM designs are never quoted to other clients. On the electronics side, custom firmware and tooling stay under your ownership; we document serialisation so reorders cannot be diverted.

11. What information should my first inquiry include?

Product category, reference images or a tech pack, target quantity, target market (it drives compliance), and your deadline. With those five items we can usually reply within one business day with a feasibility note and a target price band instead of a vague "we will check".

12. Do you work with Amazon FBA or e-commerce sellers?

Yes — a large share of our apparel programs are private-label runs for marketplace sellers. We can label and pack to FBA carton requirements (FNSKU labels, carton weight and dimension limits, prep rules), and we flag the platform-specific compliance items — such as childrenswear tracking labels or textile fibre disclosures — before production rather than after a listing block.

13. What happens if my goods are damaged in transit?

It depends on the incoterm. Under FOB, risk passes to you at the port of loading, which is why we recommend marine cargo insurance on every shipment — we can arrange it at cost. Under CIF the sea leg is insured but the destination leg may not be. In all cases we help you document the claim: survey photos, packing lists and the carrier report needed by the insurer.

14. Can you source products or materials not listed on your site?

Probably — the categories on the services page are where our factory and counter networks are deepest, not the limits of what we will try. If your product sits outside apparel and consumer electronics, send the specification anyway; if it needs a supply chain we do not know, we will say so honestly rather than experiment with your money.
